This game looks awesome. Show it some love people.
I wouldn't use that argument if I were you. Personally, I thought that Ninja Gaiden (XBOX) was equal to God of War (PS2) if not better. Sales shouldn't count when judging the QUALITY of a game because obviously a lot of different factors come into play (install base - PS2 > XBOX, accessibility - GoW easier than Ninja Gaiden, whether a game is a niche game or not - ex: Patapon for PSP will be a great game but will sell next to nothing in the US, etc.). XBOX fanboys could point out that S...
NOTE: Before you read my comment below, please keep in mind, I own both GoW1 and GoW2 and have beaten both (I enjoyed both games especially GoW1). I also love my PS3.
Kratos just seems so shallow and catering to the violence obsessed masses. I must admit that his personality was somewhat bold and refreshing in GoW1, but it definetely grated on me in GoW2. Sure, he's haunted by a tortured past, but so what? Can't he at least be a REAL man for once and not solve everything by...
and I'll say it again - this game is going to be great
I'm a big fan of the Tombas and Klonoa as well (RE too - never played much Silent Hill though). I say that Sony should try to get the rights to at least one mainstream game and one "niche" game per update (or per 2 updates). I think that'd satisfy everyone - especially since Japan is getting 8-10 game PS1 updates every couple weeks (lucky bastards).
but what we really need on the US PSN Store is...
1. Xenogears
2. Suikoden
3. Suikoden 2
4. Alundra
5. Persona
6. Persona 2 EP
7. Persona 2 IS
8. Lunar Silver Star Story
9. Lunar Eternal Blue
10. Syndicate Wars
will definetely give Killzone 2 a run for its money (although I still think KZ2 looks better)
hopefully the game doesn't suck though
This is going to be a great game.
Kane & Lynch outsold Uncharted despite being the inferior game in many peoples' eyes.
I came away rather unimpressed by the demo. That being said, the actual game is great! The cohesive intruiging storyline combined with great presentation/production values and rather fun gameplay really mesh well in the final product. I recommend you give the game a try (at least a rental).
sidar. I loved BoF2. It was annoying at times and the battles seemed to come too frequently, but it was a great game overall. Plus, those "mundane" tasks this review talks about were actually fun to me.
Xenogears, Alundra and Suikoden 1+2 (among many other PS1 classics)!
Kidmakeshift. And I'm a big fan of handdrawn 2D type games. Something just doesn't seem right with SF4, and the faces are definetely part of it.
this thing makes a cameo appearance in Transformers 2!
not bad. BBC's a great source for normal news though.
true killer_trap, but you don't need to be able to beat the game/collect all 120 stars to BUY the game. Maybe I assumed too much, but in my experience, I see a lot of girls, and adults who have very little interest in games like No More Heroes buying the Wii (they buy it primarily as a party/short-term amusement device). This is in contrast to the casual crowd that bought PS2s, because at least they were immature guys that could relate to the wealth of generic action/adventure games on the ...

If both versions run the same, I think a majority of multi-console owners will be going PS3 with this one. Vader is so much cooler than Yoda.
Although Lost Odyssey looks good enough, I don't think it's the "savior" people are looking for. The battles seem to drag on (multiple gameplay videos on various sites), and the look really isn't as great as we expected from the TGS trailer a while back. Although I can't draw conclusions off of just watching videos, some of the characters seem quite annoying as well (the priest guy).
Still, should be a fun game, but I think we'll have to wait for White Knight Story ...
